Respondents named Zero Trust one of the most successful security measures, and 100 percent said it was critical in lowering their organization's cybersecurity risks.
Zero Trust is an information security approach founded on the notion of maintaining rigorous access controls by not trusting anybody or any activity by default, including those already within the network perimeter. All transaction gets assessed according to need and risks. In other words, presume breach and trust no one by assuming that every entity — user or device — is a possible danger. Never trust, always verify in a networked world entire with dangerous actors.
"The need for and importance of implementing a Zero Trust strategy remains top of mind for cybersecurity leaders," says Jerry Chapman, engineering fellow at Optiv and co-author of the book "Zero Trust Security: An Enterprise Guide." "Optiv's adaptive, holistic approach provides clients with integrated real-time solutions that provide the type of cyber resiliency needed to identify, manage and respond to today's internal and external threats."
